The weather is unreal here. Backup fields upon backup fields have been scrapped because they are under water. We finally scrambled and think we have Joyce Park reserved. Pending some insurance issues, we think we're going to have a tournament.
It's going to be freezing cold and possibly some snow on the ground.
Fuck Ohio weather...
Check back later for the final word on the tournament.

From an alum that dealt with flooding during sectionals, here is what happened to us. We played all over campus including on central quad and our old practice field where the new ice arena sits (I was totally against this). We probably would have been fine at this point but what got us in trouble is what happened after we were done playing. After some really muddy ultimate, one team thought showers would be nice before driving home a couple hours. They happened to have a friend in one of the women's dorms on central quad. They were let into the dorm, sat on furniture and got everything muddy and showered in the women's showers. The cleaning staff didn't like this so much and figured out what happened and we had some sort of penalty (I think just $$) from the university. Good luck.
Steve, it's great to see that you still read this little Miami Ultimate portal. I've heard lots of stories about that sectionals weekend and I can only imagine the problems/stress that a College Series event must have caused with that type of weather. Glad to see even after that we're still a functioning Club at Miami.
We've secured fields but the weather is looking to make it as miserable as possible for us. I'll give a little recap about the insanity that will be Boogie Nights.
By the way, I've heard some stories about your superior playing ability when you were at Miami.
Take care,
Matt
I could maybe throw really long, but NEVER beat OU or took 2nd at sectionals...keep up the good work fellas.
Plus, I am too soft to play in the snow this weekend, so I deserve no props (is that still a word we use?).
